Congratulations to the first ever IAFP Resident Teachers of the Year

This year the IAFP Family Medicine Educators committee asked our Illinois residency programs to send us their top resident teacher from the 2016-17 academic year. After reviewing the submissions, the committee couldn’t settle on just one, because two of them were just too close to call.

West Suburban Family Medicine Residency graduate Erin Schifeling, MD is currently practicing at a clinic in Shiprock, New Mexico.

May Soliz, MD is from the University of Chicago NorthShore University Family Medicine Residency Program accepted her award at the IAFP Annual Meeting on October 5.. Dr. Soliz also was the top scoring presentation in the 2017 IAFP Resident Scholarly Works Virtual Summit and  presented her research at Family Medicine Midwest on October 8.
