Health Equity Member Interest Group

Are health equity and diversity topics that move you and resonate with your professional interests? Priorities include 

1. Assist IAFP in planning, attending, promoting health equity education events, such as the following:
a. Rural Health Equity Summit, held September 2021 and 
b. Implicit Bias Workshop, March 4 and 11, 2021 (virtual)
Implicit Bias Toolkit for Family Medicine Residency Programs is now available!   

d. Planning and promoting State of IL required CME for 2023

2. Share best practices and challenges of implementing health equity in your practice, your organization and your community
3. Disseminate and update the Health Equity Resource Center and assist other family physicians to incorporate health equity in their practices, organizations and community.  

4.  The MIG has a book club! They recently met to discuss County by Dr. David Ansell and Medical Apartheid by Harriet Washington
