 What: Creating a Safe and Affirming Organizations with LGBTQ+ Youth and Families
When: November 8^th from 9:00-11:00 am
Where: In-person at the Linda A. Kurzawa Community Center, 115 N County Farm Rd., Wheaton

Course Description:

LGBTQ+ youth and adults exist in every community and have unique needs. Join us for a training to cover an overview of using affirming terminology with youth and families, understand the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals across DuPage County and leave with resources and ideas for creating a more inclusive environment in your organization. 

Learning Objectives:
1. Understand and use affirming LGBTQ+ terminology
2. Practice scenarios for providing affirming services to LGBTQ+ youth
3. Identify local, state and national resources to share with LGBTQ+ youth and families
4. Identify opportunities to create a more affirming organization

2.0 FREE CEUs will be provided for nurses, social workers, and counselors.
