The University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford Family Medicine Residency Program provides our residents the benefit of unopposed, community-based clinical experiences and exceptional opportunities for obstetrical care and innovative educational programming through multidisciplinary techniques. Through collaboration with the award-winning UW SwedishAmerican Hospital, the UI Health Mile Square Health Center – L.P. Johnson Rockford, and other affiliated community health care partners, the Rockford Family Medicine Residency is a 7-7-7 program that provides outstanding graduate medical education. Our program has a 100% pass rate on the ABFM board examination. Since the program began in Rockford in 1972, more than 300 family medicine residents have been trained through the program who now practice family medicine and various subspecialties in Rockford, throughout Illinois, across the nation and around the world. We also boast an advanced and surgical obstetrics track within our residency program. Within the 3 years of training for family medicine, you can add high risk obstetrics and cesarean sections to your practice. Come join us!
