One of the few hospital-based teaching programs of its kind in the far west suburban and Fox Valley area, the Rush Copley Family Medicine Residency is an unopposed, Rush University affiliated program centered within a 210-bed community hospital located in the second largest city in Illinois (only 40 miles west of Chicago). Our mission is to train physicians who will distinguish themselves by providing excellent care in the practice setting of their choice with training model that focuses on traditional, full spectrum scope of family medicine. Our residents work with family physicians who are integral to their communities, students from various health professions, and diverse patient populations. Through the affiliation with Rush University, our residents have the ability to experience multiple facets of family medicine including exposure to geriatric-family medicine, addiction-family medicine, and obesity-family medicine physicians.
