“Health, Habits, and Habitats The Roles of Frontline Clinicians in Occupational/Environmental Exposure Investigations” 

The first in a series of clinician directed interactive info-sessions in an office hours format targeted towards raising timely awareness of emerging and high impact public health issues that directly involve clinical care or health system considerations. Experts from IDPH and other agencies will discuss and present on 1 to 2 topics each session with a forum for addressing questions around clinician roles in these situations from triage and testing to reporting and prevention considerations.

Learning objectives upon completion of the webinar, participants will:

  • Learn about the IDPH Toxicology Section.
  • Increase knowledge of environmental/occupational (E/O) exposures and the public health response.
  • Learn the basics of taking an E/O exposure history.
  • Learn common E/O exposures and symptoms that may affect patients presenting for evaluation.
  • Receive resources for incorporating E/O exposure histories into clinical practice.
