Hepatitis C in Pregnancy & Infants
May 4th to June 22nd | Every Thursday from 4:30-5:30 PM CDT

ECHO-Chicago provides training via Zoom to build capacity at the community level. Providers in ECHO training actively engage in discussions with their peers and subject matter experts about challenges they experience in their own practice and with their own patients. This offers providers a learning community for ongoing reinforcement of lessons learned and support in bringing these new elements into practice. Eliminating hepatitis C (HCV) is a national and global health imperative. Yet pregnant people and exposed
infants have largely been excluded from this effort. This ECHO series, in partnership with Lurie Children's Hospital and funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), aims to help providers become more competent and comfortable delivering care to hepatitis C positive pregnant people and infants. Early detection & treatment of HCV can lower rates of morbidity and mortality and reduce the risk of disease progression for individual patients, in addition to getting us closer to the goal of eradicating HCV around the world.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

  • Evidence-based education on prenatal and postnatal hepatitis c care in pregnant people and infants
