IAFP COVID-19 POLICY FOR LIVE EVENTS

Attendees at all IAFP in-person events must adhere to the IAFP COVID-19 Safety Policy

  • In accordance with IL State Executive Order 21-22, all attendees (which includes, speakers, exhibitors, guests, and staff) must wear a mask when indoors.
  • All attendees must answer an online health-screening assestation 24 hours prior to the event.
  • It is highly ENCOURAGED that all attendees either be vaccinated against COVID-19 OR have a negative COVID-19 test no more than 72 hours prior to attending.
  • Please follow social distancing protocols.
  • All food and beverages served will be individually packaged when possible.
    • When eating, please practice social distancing.
    • Additional protocols may be added due to location site policies.

While vaccinations, observance of safety protocols, and exercise of personal discipline may reduce risk, however, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 does remain in connection with any public gathering.

IAFP cannot guarantee that its participants, members, exhibitors, or others in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19. Considering the ongoing spread of COVID-19, individuals who fall within any of the categories below should not engage in IAFP’s live events.

 By attending any live IAFP event, you certify that you do not fall into any of the following categories:

  •  Individuals who currently or within the past fourteen (14) days have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath among others;
  •  Individuals who have traveled at any point in the past fourteen (14) days either internationally or to a community in the U.S. that has experienced or is experiencing sustained community spread of COVID-19; or
  •  Individuals who believe that they may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for their treatment.
