AAFP TOWN HALL TONIGHT AT 7PM

 

Please tune in tonight at 7pm as another one of our Illinois members will share the virtual stage with AAFP president Dr. Gary LeRoy and Senior Vice President Dr. Julie Wood for the AAFP Live Virtual Town Hall.  Santina “Tina” Wheat, MD program director at the Northwestern McGaw Family Medicine Residency Program at Humboldt Park in Chicago will discuss addressing and overcoming health disparities in the face of COVID-19. 

Two more of our members were in the national spotlight in recent days:
Evelyn Figueroa, MD was featured on CBS National News for her work with the expanding UI-Pilsen Food Pantry in supporting the Latinx community hit particularly hard in Chicago and around the nation. Our 2018 Family Physician of the Year, Thomas Huggett, MD was featured in this 4-minute Wall Street Journal video providing care and crucial isolation for the homeless in a Chicago hotel.  We continue to add to the list of members who have been in the news here
