Christine Mattern, also of Putnam County Elementary, who was a runner up in 2003 as a fourth grader and received at DVD player then, is a runner up again this year as a fifth grader.  She took home a Tar Wars prize pack including five new DVDs for her DVD player!

Thank you to all the schools who submitted posters to IAFP for the contest.  Special thanks to Zenith Electronics, for donating great prizes to Tar Wars for the past four years!

Certificates will be mailed to all state poster contest finalists by the end of April

If your Tar Wars presentation was too late to enter the state poster contest this year, you can submit posters for the 2005 contest, so donít get rid of them!  The lesson and the message is most important, so I hope youíll still get the word out to your students this year that tobacco-free is the way to be!

Good luck in Washington , D.C. Kyle!
