Virtual FMIG - visit the new virtual FMIG (Family Medicine Interest Group) website!  This site now includes a Residency section, Leadership services, Family Medicine and a Clinical Resources section.

Attention 2012 graduates:  The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Students to Service Loan Repayment Program (S2S LRP) is accepting applications until Dec. 14, 2011. The S2S LRP provides loan repayment assistance to medical students (MD and DO) in their last year of school, in return for a commitment to provide primary health care services in eligible Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) of greatest need.  Payments would begin in JUNE 2012 - Learn more here http://nhsc.hrsa.gov/loanrepayment/studentstoserviceprogram/index.html

Student events:  Due to low student attendance the past few years, IAFP is not hosting any residency fairs in 2011.  However, there is the possibility of a North Central States Region Family Medicine Education Conference in Oak Brook or Chicago in October 2011.  Check back for details in May!
