 IAFP can offer FMIGs the following assistance:

  • IAFP has a database of volunteers who can come to FMIG meetings to discuss a variety of topics. 
  • IAFP has a presentation on Government Relations and family medicine that Gordana Krkic, IAFP vice president of government relations can present at a meeting.
  • AAFP and STFM have provided a presentation and handouts on “Your Future in Family Medicine” created specifically for FMIG or other student gatherings.
  • IAFP will host a “Preparing for Residency” program in April (exact date still TBD) at Loyola University – Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood .
  • IAFP can also help your FMIG organize or maintain and organized Tar Wars effort in the fall of 2006
