ILLINOIS CHAPTER OF FAMILY MEDICINE RESIDENTS                                             (Resident Chapter of the IAFP)  
                                                  OFFICER POSITIONS

Are you interested in becoming a volunteer leader in the Illinois Chapter of Family Medicine Residents?  Would you like to represent the family medicine residents of Illinois and have your voice heard regarding the future of Family Medicine?  

Here’s your chance to take on this leadership role and assume an officer position with the Illinois Chapter of Family Medicine Residents.  Or, if you know of someone at your residency program that might be interested in an officer position, please share this information with them.

President-elect:  Assists the president in organizing resident activities and addresses resident priorities through various communications.  President-elect will serve as President for the subsequent term (July 2008-2009)

Requirements:  attend all IAFP Foundation Board meetings (usually conducted via conference call ).  Attend 2007 Family Medicine Forum (September 29 in Oak Brook).  Strongly urged to attend resident and IAFP events week of Oct 3-7 during the AAFP and IAFP annual meeting in Chicago.
National Delegate:  One resident will be Illinois' delegate to AAFP's National Congress of Resident Members Aug 1-4 in Kansas City.  The selected resident will represent our state; attend the business sessions at the Nation Conference and network with other resident attending the Conference from Illinois.  A written report will be required to IAFP upon your return.  Airfare/mileage will be reimbursed.
